[SAVANNAH, Ga, September 12th, 2025] Lil Uzi Vert seemingly referenced a shot at rapper Nine Vicious when doing an Instagram Live last week, and things have been on edge between rappers ever since.
During the livestream that gained upwards of 25,000 viewers, Uzi made direct statements before making the YSL hand sign. “‘Y’all talkin’ about ‘I fell off too.’ Y’all lil’ ass boys, stop playin’ with me,” Uzi captioned on the stream. “Stop playin’ with me, na,” they responded further while gesturing to the YSL sign, HotNewHipHop has stated.
The alleged beef is claimed to come after recent remarks Nine Vicious made about Uzi, although the nature of the remarks wasn’t specified within sources. Following Nine Vicious making remarks about Uzi on Instagram Live, Nine Vicious referred to Uzi as “forever family,” which seemed like a move of trying to calm things down. Young Thug has since intervened, posting a tweet requesting both artists contact him to resolve their differences before the conflict escalates further. This mediation attempt highlights the Atlanta-based YSL founder’s desire to maintain peace between the two performers.
Fan response has been divided, some of which are calling on Uzi to end Nine Vicious and others speculate that the rap beef can motivate Uzi to create some of their best work of recent years. Savannah State senior, Ashton Lewis, had a lot to say regarding the situation,”Nine really didn’t have to say anything at all, it’s almost like it’s just shock value every time he moves.” This is uncommon beef for Uzi because the Philly rapper has operated mostly clear of industry beef aside from when he had one with Rich The Kid in 2018.
